Gili Islands

The three Gilis (Trawangan, Meno and Air) are beautiful little sandy islands. Peace, relax, tropical landscape and experience of island life. The natives make living by drying fish and growing coconut palms.

The islands of Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air are very popular beach destination. Most of locals occupies the highlands inside the island. Automobiles and  motorized traffic are forbidden according to local laws, cycling or horse carriages called cidomos are preferred.

The quality of beaches is generally higher than those on Bali and Lombok.
There are no dogs on the island of Gili Trawangan, but according to locals, there are more cats than inhabitants themselves. There  is also official police established on the island, most of local conflicts are solved by local council.

Gili Meno, the smallest and the most quiet of islands, takes pride in having loads of interesting places.

Gili Air is closest to the mainland and is also the most inhabited one.
